I’m David. I’ve been making websites since the days of Netscape and dial-up, and these days I help businesses get the whole thing off their plate — the design, the build, and all the technical bits behind it.
Websites are the main thing.
But they’re rarely the only thing.
Most people don’t want to deal with hosting, email and domains. And they shouldn’t have to. I’ll look after as much or as little of it as you like.
New websites
Custom WordPress sites, built properly behind the scenes and set up so you can change the words and photos yourself. A logo too, if you need one.
Looking after it
Updates, backups, security and the small changes that pile up. Plus someone to call when WordPress decides today is the day it doesn’t want to cooperate.
The technical stuff
Domains, hosting, email, forms and migrations — those annoying problems that sit somewhere between “website” and “IT”. If it’s broken, I’ll work out why.
You don’t need to know anything about websites.
That’s my job.
You don’t need to arrive with a sitemap, know which WordPress plugin you need, or explain the difference between DNS and SMTP. Tell me about your business — what’s working, what isn’t, and what you’re trying to achieve. I’ll help work out the rest.

When you email, I’m the one who reads it — and the one who fixes it. No account managers, and nobody to be passed around to.
I’ve been pulling websites apart to see how they work since the early ’90s, back when that meant clicking “View Source” in Netscape. I still enjoy it, which probably says something.
How it usually goes

We have a chat
Coffee, phone or Zoom. Tell me about the business and what’s bugging you about the current site.

I work out what you actually need
Then you get a clear quote. Sometimes that involves talking you out of things.

I build it
You’ll see it take shape on a preview link and can tell me what’s not right as we go.
- 04
It goes live, and I stick around
I’ll show you how to edit it. After that, a care plan keeps it updated and backed up.
