The fine print
Privacy policy
What happens to the details you send me. The short version: I use them to reply to you, and that’s about it.

The short version
If you fill in my contact form, I use what you send me to reply to you and, if we end up working together, to do the work. I don’t sell it, I don’t add you to a mailing list, and I don’t track you around the internet.
Who I am
This website belongs to MurrinMedia (ABN 11 895 769 646), which is me, David Murrin, based in Adelaide, South Australia. When this policy says “I” or “me”, that’s who it means.
What I collect
When you use the contact form, I collect what you type into it:
- your name and email address
- your phone number and website address, if you choose to give them
- what you need help with, and your message
The form doesn’t record your location or track where you came from.
If you become a client, I’ll also keep the details needed to do the work and invoice you, such as your business details and any logins you give me for your website, hosting or domain.
How I use it
- to reply to your enquiry
- to plan, quote on and do the work you’ve asked for
- to send invoices and keep the records the tax office expects
That’s it. I don’t sell or rent your details, and I only share them when I have to in order to do the job (for example, with a hosting or domain provider when I’m setting things up for you), or when the law requires it.
Where it’s kept
Contact form messages are emailed to me and saved in this website’s database. My email, hosting and accounting services may store data on servers outside Australia. I use reputable providers, keep access locked down, and don’t keep things longer than I need to. Old enquiries that didn’t lead anywhere get cleared out from time to time.
Cookies and third parties
This site doesn’t use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. WordPress only sets cookies if you log in, which won’t apply to you unless you’re me.
To display the site, your browser loads fonts from Google Fonts and a small script library from jsDelivr. Like any web request, this shares your IP address with those services. You can read Google’s privacy policy and jsDelivr’s privacy policy.
Seeing, changing or deleting your details
You can ask me what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it (unless I need to keep it for tax or legal reasons). Just send me a message and I’ll sort it out.
If you’re not happy with how I’ve handled your information, please tell me first so I can put it right. If that doesn’t resolve it, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Changes
If anything here changes, for example if I add analytics or spam protection to the contact form, I’ll update this page and the date at the top.
